 FAQs

  • You'll have three calls with me before you leave home, each timed to where the anxiety actually lives. The first is shortly after you join, when the post-booking spiral tends to kick in. The second is three to four weeks out and covers your arrival logistics step by step, including flights and lodging if you haven't finalized those yet. The third is one week before departure, when nerves peak, and we walk through your first morning in Lisbon until the picture is clear.

  • No. You design your own days. There's no itinerary, no group schedule, no one moving you along. Morning meet-ups and evening gatherings are optional. The structure is underneath you, not on top of you.

  • Skip them. That's why they're optional. Some women will show up every morning. Others will check in once and spend the rest of the week on their own. Both are fine. The WhatsApp group is there if you need something in real time.

  • This one comes up more than you'd think, and it's worth naming. The guilt of leaving a pet, an aging parent, or a partner who doesn't travel is real and it doesn't mean you shouldn't go. Part of what we do in the pre-trip calls is help you get your leaving-home logistics solid so that piece of your brain can settle down before departure day.

  • Lisbon is a safe, walkable, well-touristed city. That said, things happen: a missed tram, a dodgy stomach, a hotel that isn't what you expected. You won't be navigating any of it alone. I'm reachable by WhatsApp, I know the city well, and the group is small enough that someone will notice if you've gone quiet. You'll also sort out travel insurance before you leave, and we'll talk through what good coverage actually looks like in Call 2.

  • Six women maximum. That's a hard cap, not a guideline. Small enough that Basecamp stays personal. Not so small that it feels like a couples retreat you wandered into.

  • No requirement. What matters is that you're ready to move independently and make your own decisions during the day. Some women in this group will have traveled solo for years. Others will be doing it for the first time. Basecamp works either way because the support isn't about experience level, it's about the transition.

  • As soon as you're ready. The group fills at six and there's no waitlist once it closes. A $150 deposit holds your spot. The balance is due 60 days before departure.

  • Item descriptionThe $150 deposit is non-refundable. If you need to cancel before the 60-day balance due date, your deposit stays but you owe nothing further. If you cancel after the balance is paid, refunds are not available but your spot may be transferable. Travel insurance that covers trip cancellation is something we'll discuss in your pre-trip calls, and it's worth having.
